These words contain the seed what is at the core of the Spanish women’s poetry: the capacity of the word to engender an entirely new female essence, one no longer ignored, suppressed or restrained, that has multiple dimensions and possibilities. Spanish women poets are restoring and renewing their generative forces, exalting sexuality / sensuality with unabashed irreverence for tradition, decorum and prejudice.

A direct confrontation of past with present, tradition with renovation, sacred with profane.

A 12 week course that will take you on a journey of exploration of Spanish Women's Poetry.

And why this is important? Because the female identity is different according to each culture and their customs, but is also same because many cultures are based on a patriarchal system where men wield more power than women.

Course starts the 1st of February 2019
